Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
What is NLP?
NLP is the focus on how our way of thinking impacts on how we live our lives, through how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and how we behave (programming).
NLP is an extremely powerful change management tool which allows us to think, communicate and manage ourselves and others more effectively.
Throughout a session, a client may work through a range of exercises in order to think about and approach life in completely different ways.
What can NLP be used for?
NLP can be used in all areas of self-improvement and built into your individual treatment plan.
NLP can be used for many things (including but not limited to) eliminating self limiting beliefs, tackling negative thought processes, reducing anxiety or stress levels, removing phobias, increasing positivity & motivation, and changing the way you think and feel about your life, your past and your future
What happens during an NLP session?
NLP can be incorporated within a holistic session involving other therapies (for example a hypnotherapy or trauma session), or it can be a stand alone session in itself. This can be advised during your initial consultation.
Firstly we work together to create your "benchmark", by considering your goals & aspirations for your sessions and your current thought processes, behaviours, and emotional states and responses. NLP tools and techniques are then used to change these, with plans put in place going forward.
If appropriate, your NLP session may also include Timeline Therapy, an intervention created to enable the individual to unearth and then release emotional blocks, habits or behaviours which may have been formed in the past.
