When people first visit me, they want to make their anxiety or depression to magically disappear. They want to be able to go back to their same lives, stress, worry and sadness free.
What can you do?
The fact is, working together…
You can let go of embedded negative habits and behaviours,
You can release negative emotions from your past
You can deal with beliefs about yourself or the world that may be stopping you from living the best life that you can
You can learn to accept what you can and cannot control
You can leave me full of confidence and resilience with a toolbox of techniques to help you deal with any future stressors or bad days
You can learn how to notice and change your thought patterns to lay down a positive blueprint of your life now
You can learn how to get yourself into a suggestable state, providing your own positive thoughts, feelings and suggestions.
What can't you do?
But what we can’t do is change the things that may have brought you to me initially.
You may be in a job that you hate, you may be being bullied, you may be in an unhealthy relationship, you may not have any time to explore your own hobbies or to just to decompress by doing nothing.
These things will still be there, and although you can learn to be more resilient to them, what is most important, is having that time and space in your mind (now you have removed the emotional baggage) as well as the confidence and self belief to contemplate….
When you are in a more positive emotional, physical and mental state, you are in a much better position to review your life, and notice what changes may need to be made to make sure that you are never in that low place again.
